JUNE 2007
MOD EXHIBITION

Spacer Image

S G Baker took a stand the MOD exhibition held at the Millbrook proving ground, Bedfordshire.  The photograph shows our sandbags ‘in use’ with the background photographs demonstrating some of our extensive product range.  The stand attracted a great deal of interest and was judged a big success in achieving its objectives of displaying the products we supply to the MOD whilst also demonstrating our wide product portfolio

S. G. BAKER & JOHN LEE SACKS MERGER COMPLETE

Spacer Image

In April 2005 S. G. Baker merged with John Lee (Sacks) Ltd who are based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. John Lee are a long established company with an excellent reputation throughout the UK as stockists of a large range of sacks and bags for use in almost all areas of industry.

The transfer of the English operations of S G Baker from Ipswich to Grantham was completed as planned in July. A programme of investment at Grantham has recently been undertaken and the accompanying photograph shows our newly refurbished building.

The merger brings together two complimentary companies with over 100 years packaging experience and we are confident it will result in an even stronger customer focused business.

All staff from both companies have been fully involved and led by local directors Stephen Cousins (Sales) and Howard Lumsden (Operations).

Responsibility for each customer account remains unchanged, which will ensure complete continuity.
