   Crop Mesh Ground Cover

 

Durable HDPE crop mesh used to protect root crops and low growing ground crops, for example swedes, cabbages and turf, from frost, severe winds and rain damage.

The mesh size of the ground cover is small enough to provide 99% protection from CRF infestation, while still allowing airflow and water to pass through.

The ambient temperature under this ground cover is 1-2°C warmer than the outside temperatrue and as a mesh it allows 90% natural light penetration. An added feature of this crop mesh ground cover is that it helps deter other pests such as deer and rabbits.

UV treated the mesh has a life of 6 to 8 years. SG Baker can supply the mesh in various colours, different lengths and widths dependant on your needs.

The properties of this type of mesh covering has proven to increase the saleable tonnage to the retail trade by 10 - 15%.
 

   Non Woven Polypropylene Fleece Ground Cover

 

Made from non woven polypropylene the ambient temperature under the fleece is up to 2°C warmer than the outside temperature. This increases both yield and crop quality.

This fleece groundcover can be used to "warm up" the ground prior to planting. Ideal for use on crops and turf, our non woven polypropylene fleece ground offers great protection from frost and is available to order in a range of available sizes.
